What a wonderful find. Had a recce at Walton-on-the-Naze late this afternoon looking for suitable fishing marks and happened upon the very friendly proprietors and staff. Came away with some crisps, and boxes of prehistoric sharks teeth, of all things. Thank you for the advice and info. An exceptional credit to a wonderful seaside town - will be back with my daughters ASAP!

Friendly takeaway on the beach selling ice creams, hot food and drinks. Surprisingly inexpensive. Strongly recommended.
Really lovely day spent at their beach hut which we hired. Late availability for Good Friday and we were made very welcome in the hut which has a beach facing aspect. Wind breakers, parasol and kids beach toys were included along with a table and chairs and deckchairs. We used the cafe for refreshments too, which were also very good. We will hire the hut again and definitely come back to the cafe which has outside seating looking out to the sea.
Great place if you're on the beach or just walking along past
Had a very nice cod and chips at The Last Fisherman Cafe today - the cod was very fresh and the batter perfect. It also came with a mixed salad and coleslaw. Would thoroughly recommend a meal, and the price was about right too.
